Watson Jacobs McCreary LLP was founded in 1988 by Norman L. Jesin and J. David Watson as Jesin and Watson, a firm specializing in the representation of trade unions in all areas of labour relations law. In 1994 the firm changed its name to Jesin Watson & McCreary when Michael C. P. McCreary joined the partnership after working with the firm as an associate for several years. In 2004 Norman L. Jesin left the firm for a position as a Vice-Chair at the Ontario Labour Relations Board. That same year David P. Jacobs joined the partnership and the firm name changed to Watson Jacobs McCreary. In 2007 Steven G. Bosnick joined the partnership after working with the firm as an associate for several years. That same year the firm became a limited liability partnership and changed its name to Watson Jacobs McCreary LLP.
