Michael Klug has been representing
trade unions and employees in all manner of disputes since
he was called to the Ontario bar in 1993.
Michael has worked
out
of the firm’s London, Ontario
office since he joined the firm in 2000. He represents a
wide variety of trade unions who are primarily based out of
southwestern
Ontario, including Unions in the municipal, educational,
industrial and transportation sectors. As such he appears regularly
before
labour arbitrators and other labour and employment tribunals,
in both the provincial and federal jurisdictions and the
courts. He is also often called upon to provide advice and
representation
to his clients with respect to collective bargaining issues.
In
addition to his work on behalf of trade unions, Michael acts
as counsel to unorganized employees in workers’ compensation,
wrongful dismissal, human rights and other disputes.
Michael
is a graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax with a
B.A. (Honours) in Political Science and of the University
of British Columbia Law School. He brings to his work
a strong commitment to enhancing the power of workers and unions
in
the workplace with a comprehensive understanding of the
relevant law and its practical effect. |
