Allison J. Shamas is an associate lawyer at Watson Jacobs McCreary. Allison joined Watson Jacobs McCreary as an associate after completing her articles with the firm in 2014. Allison practices in all areas of labour relations and human rights, with a particular focus on construction labour relations law. Allison has represented clients before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, at labour arbitration as well as at civil trials and motions.

Allison completed her J.D. at the University of Toronto in 2013. During law school Allison volunteered at Downtown Legal Services, the school’s pro bono legal services clinic where she represented clients in the criminal law division. Allison also spent a summer working as an intern with Poverty Reduction and Agricultural Management (PRAM), an international development organization focused on poverty reduction in South East Asia. Allison’s work at PRAM focused on gender equity in development initiatives.

During her time with the firm, Allison has published a number of articles in the area of employee pension and benefit trust fund governance.
