Barbara is a senior associate lawyer with the firm. Her practice areas include administrative law, employment law, labour law and workplace law. She represents the interests of workers, trade unions and administrative decision makers.
Prior to joining Watson Jacobs Bosnick LLP in 2025, Barbara worked as a litigator and associate professor at Ontario law schools (Western, Lakehead, Toronto, York), as in-house counsel for charities and non-profit organizations, as Director and lawyer at legal aid clinics in London, Scarborough, Sudbury, Toronto, and served as Legislative Counsel at Queen's Park. She has advocated on behalf of unions, workers and vulnerable people in matters before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Superior Court (Divisional Court), and administrative tribunals in Ontario, Nova Scotia and at the federal level. Barbara has also taught at Seneca College and served as Director and Chair of a number of public interest community boards.
Barbara holds an LL.B. from the Dalhousie University Faculty of Law and earned a B.A. in English Literature and Political Science (with Highest Honours) from Carleton University where she graduated with a Senate medal, after receiving the Chancellor's Scholarship and placement on the Dean's List. She has been certified as an Inclusive Leader by the Ontario Bar Association. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2001 and designated a Public Notary in 2008.
